Seven rooms on a quiet street

The Kantara sits on Gardens View, a calm residential street five minutes' walk from Bournemouth station. Inside: seven rooms — single, double, twin, treble and family — most with en-suite, every one with full central heating, a colour TV with Freeview and a proper tea-and-coffee tray.

Nothing is tired here. The rooms are bright and modern, the bathrooms fresh, and the housekeeping happens every single day.

02 · The morning

Breakfast, your way

Every booking includes a free continental breakfast, served in the dining room — juice, cereals, toast and croissants, fresh fruit and yoghurts. Fancy more? A full English, made with local products only, can be booked the night before.

Diets are catered for — one guest's vegan breakfast, laid out specially by Rose, earned its own ten-out-of-ten review.

03 · The beach

Golden sands, an easy walk

This is why you're here. From the house it's a lovely walk via the cliff top and down to Bournemouth's famous golden sands — or a stroll along the seaside promenade into the town centre, with its shops, bars and cafés.

The pier is within easy reach, the Bournemouth International Centre just under a mile — and at the end of it all, a spotless room and a quiet street.

The Kantara is run by Rose and her husband, who look after the house themselves — guests describe them as wonderful, kind and caring.

She'll point you to the beach path, sort your breakfast the way you like it, and keep your room spotless every day.
